So many elements went into making Gone with the Wind a legendary film. Margaret Mitchell’s story of Rhett & Scarlett, the all star cast of Clark Gable, Olivia de Havilland, and Leslie Howard, the spot-on acting of the beautiful Vivien Leigh, and the stunning, over-the-top designs of Walter Plunkett. It’s difficult to narrow down my favorite gown Vivien wore in the film… maybe the silk green & white BBQ dress or the burgundy velvet dress Scarlett wore to Ashley’s birthday part.
